What is Flatland Makers Day?
Flatland Makers Day is a one-day, hands-on creative experience for students from any community. You’ll spend the day learning directly from a working artist, creating a finished piece of art, and seeing your work displayed in a real downtown art walk.
Who can attend?
Any student from any community is welcome to attend.
Transportation will be provided to Burlington from Kit Carson County school districts.
Families will need to arrange transportation home after the event.
When is it?
February 20th 2026
Full school-day experience (exact start/end times will be shared by your school)
Parents are invited to join their students at 4:00 PM for the downtown art walk before taking them home.
Where is it?
Burlington Community Center
Your artwork will later be displayed in downtown Burlington businesses for a community art walk.
